2nd week,In the bag.....

Well I must say the second week went much better then the first,I went from Byron Center MI. to Kenosha,WI.,Oconomowoc,WI.,to Hastings,MI.,Lake Odessa,MI.,to Norcross,GA.,Atlanta,GA.,to Doral,FL.and last but not least Homestead FL to Byron Center MI.,Made 1000.00 plus from Wed,through Fri.-10 days.I got the truck all cleaned up and polished waxed and looking good,I'll post a pic soon anybody have any comments about mileage pay vs. percentage pay? just wondering,anybody using a dash camera in their truck?

I utilize a dash cam for just such an emergency --or when an idiot cuts me off or just in case an accident happens in front of me, its just a logitech c260 running on my computer,works ok but looking for better,may  upgrade in the near future,I also use pc miler for route info,I have Microsoft streets and trips and delorme for GPS when i might need them but I always plot my route via pc miler so I know its all truck routed,I might get co pilot truck installed on my evo 4g soon it's available and cost 145.00

I hope everyone has a nice memorial day weekend and DO NOT FORGET ALL OUR WAR HERO'S AND VETERANS,as an army veteran myself I would like to thank all veterans for their service to our country and allowing us to live a life  free of oppression and as I do every holiday I will be flying two full size American flags from my truck,one on each side, as I'm traveling the highways of this fine country

WHAT A FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB,,,,,,

I don't know where to begin,I left out last week wed. for a delivery from Byron Center Michigan to Kenosha WI., delivered on time and had some time to kill before the next pick up in West Chicago,IL

Stopped at the t/a in Russell,IL,got fuel and showered and headed out to West Chicago,got to the pick up 40 minutes before the scheduled pick up time and after checking in they told me i was in the wrong place that i was at the wrong place i needed to go to an address on Racine in Chicago,,,,about 50 mi. away,called disp and notified them,they called back and said the customer made a mistake on the pick up so i transversed Chicago on the surface streets and long story short clipped the top of the trailer on a low underpass,and when i got to the Racine address nobody there knew anything about the pick up,contacted the dispatcher and come to find out i needed to go somewhere else to make the pickup so off i went finally picked the load up,it was going to lithia springs GA.drove to Remington in,slept for a few hrs and headed to GA,,,,,,,blew a tire in whitestown IN, at the t/a exit ,took about an hour and a half to get a recap installed and off once again to GA,dispatched informed me that they would take me when i got there after i told her i would be there at 9 to 930 pm (my apt was for 8 pm) well i got there at 930 pm and they were in the process of letting the crew go home early ,,,which in turn caused me to miss my next pick up at 8am in the morning,so i got unloaded and dispatch was in touch with the next p/u and called me at 12 and said someone was going in to load me at 3pm so i went to the place,got there at 2 and waited till 6pm for someone to show up and load me ,,,,,,,dlvd that load and picked up next load in Hebron,KY took 2.5 hrs to load when i got to the delivery after setting there for 1.5 hrs they told me i needed to go to there warehouse 18 miles away,,,finally del, that load and went home after setting for a day trying to find a load home (160 mil) WHAT A WEEK FOR THE FIRST WEEK BACK AFTER BEING OFF FOR A WHILE HUH...... so busy i didn't have time to post untill now wow!

Discovered a great app for android called truck and travel stops when started it shows your location on a map or sattelite view then you press the nearest button and you get a list of every truck stop truck dealer ,repair center weigh station rest areas,cat scales,basicly all truck services from nearest to farthest out ,oh and includes all wal marts too,check it out it cost .99 cents

Star date:05/10/11 Well,here it is,the day before I'm going to start a new job,getting back in a truck,i feel  an explanation is in order
Lets go back to may of 2009,I was on a run to Kentucky and stopped at what is now the petro on I69 at the 157 mm to use the restroom,as I made my way to the restroom i stopped at the instant lottery machine and spent 10.00 dollars on an instant ticket ,,,,,long story short and 100.00.000 later,so i quit working for the summer and went back to work for the same company i was working for but i kinda got fed up up with the b.s and quit working again,in the meantime i hit a casino jackpot for 29.00.000+ and a few 5000.00+ jackpots,last year i worked 2for 3 months and my adj gross income was 98.00.000 so I'm doing OK ,,,,but  I don't like to see my bank acct dwindle without new income coming in so I've decided to get back in the swing of things and better yet i decided to share my trials and tribulations with the masses
    I'll try to keep up with things on a daily basis ,along with statements about the industry as a whole and of course my opinion on the daily news of the industry as i try to listen to all the industry news and happenings from both sirrius radio ch 106 the road dog and Steve Sommers on wlw out of Ohio for those of you who don't get xm ,,,,my first recommendation,,,,did you know that you can listen to Steve Sommers on your android radio if you don't get xm by downloading "i heart radio"from the market pull up wlw and listen and the plug a line from your headphone into the radio mp3 jack if you have one i will be giving out tips like this every now and again ,,out for now
